Nvidia Forums Hacked 390,000 Accounts compromised

Seems to me like hackers have been very busy recently and in the latest of attacks, Nvidia the graphics chip manufacture has also been hacked. According to TechnoBuffalo the company announced this morning that their Forums were hacked and 390,000 accounts were compromised.

Nvidia states the anonymous hackers got a hold of sensitive information that included users names, email addresses, hashed passwords, and user “about me” profiles. The Forums are down at the moment assuming the company is working to resolve the issue. There is good news after all because The Verge states that Nvidia hashed all the passwords with a random salt value which makes the passwords extremely secured.

Of course Nvidia is telling its users to change the passwords just to be safe and state that the Forums will eventually come back up with temporary passwords users must change.

In recent days websites major company websites have been the target of these types of attacks where hackers have been able to get names and passwords or users thanks to vulnerable websites and companies like Yahoo storing user passwords in plain text.

Are you concerned about all these attacks happening lately, sound off in the comments below!!
